Academy Exclusions Advice takes no responsibility for any outcome based on the advice and guidance given. Exclusions Advice does not have any decision-making powers. Only the headteacher, or acting headteacher, of an academy can suspend or permanently exclude a pupil on disciplinary grounds and only the governing body or a designated sub-committee can reinstate a pupil following its consideration of a suspension or permanent exclusion. It is the responsibility of the headteacher to apply the advice and guidance given as they deem necessary within their academy and according to the individual circumstances.
